<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a light-projecting module in which a fine light-projecting lens and a light-projecting element can be simply and precisely assembled while assuring an arbitrary back focal length and an optical-axis matching condition. <P>SOLUTION: The runner part of a lens component with a runner is attached to the first movable part of a position alignment mechanism, while the holder of the light-projecting-element component with a holder is attached to a second movable part of the position alignment mechanism. While emitting light from the light-projecting element component to measure feature of the light transmitted through the lens, adjustment of the optical axis of the lens of the lens component with the runner and that of the light-projecting element of the element component with the holder, and adjustment of the back focal length, are performed by operating the position alignment mechanism. After finishing the adjustment of the optical axes and of the back focal length, the lens component with the runner and the light-projecting element component with the holder are glued to fix each other to obtain an interim product of the module.
