<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering lock device with excellent theft prevention capable of holding the lock state of a steering shaft when a malpractice attack is received regardless of the magnitude of an external force. <P>SOLUTION: When a cover 6 is removed from a frame body 3, a lock control member 33 is displaced in a pin falling direction a, a lock pin 31 is released in moving regulation and displaced to a dead lock engagement position, and the lock control member 33 of the steering lock device 1 for locking a lock rod 14 is energized and arranged in the cover 6 of the pin falling direction a so as to be freely insertable, slidable in a further inserting direction from a locking position engaged to the lock pin 31 in a state of being engaged with the tip of the lock pin 31.
