When electromagnetic compatibility is measured according to ENV 50142 with a purely capacitative coupling, the test specimen must be brought to the voltage potential. This results in dangers and an insufficient amount of influence of internal conductors in shielded cables. If a transformer is used, a large amount of power is magnetically injected into internal conductors and it is possible to avoid a voltage potential on said specimen. The inventive method and device can be used in all measurements of electromagnetic compatibility and is particularly useful for shielded cables. |
