PURPOSE: An organic light-emitting device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to multiply luminous efficiency of the organic light-emitting device used as illumination by minimizing the loss of light which is generated by refraction index difference of a transparent electrode and a substrate. CONSTITUTION: An optical scattering layer(10) is formed on a substrate(1). A first electrode(2) is formed on the optical scattering layer. The optical scattering layer comprises a cholesteric liquid crystal layer including liquid crystal which is aligned to a vertical direction about the substrate. An organic layer(3) is formed on the first electrode. A second electrode(4) is formed on the organic layer. The organic layer comprises a light emitting layer.
