PURPOSE: A method for driving light source and a display apparatus for performing the same are provided to improve display quality by displaying an image having reduced crosstalk. CONSTITUTION: A display panel(110) displays an image based on the gate signal outputted form a data signal from a data driving unit and a gate signal from a gate driving unit. An image converter(200) receives a first image signal from the image system arranged in outside. A control signal(CONT) controls the driving timing of the data driving unit by using a control signal applied from the outside. A light source module(400) comprises a light guide plate(401), a first light emitting module(410), a second light emitting module(430), and a light source driver(450). The light source driver comprises a dimming control part(451) and a duty control signal converting unit(457).
