<p>PURPOSE: A method of manufacturing lithium by electrolysis of lithium phosphate solution is provided to enable easy handing due to non-use of lithium chloride and prevent the corrosion of an electrolytic device since chlorine gas is not generated. CONSTITUTION: A method of manufacturing lithium by electrolysis of lithium phosphate solution comprises next steps. Lithium phosphate solution is put in an anode cell, and solution is put in a cathode cell. Current is applied, and the lithium ion separated from the anode cell moves to the cathode cell for electrolysis. The lithium phosphate solution is formed in such a way lithium phosphate is melt in the solution containing phosphate. The electrolytic condition of the electrolysis is 1~200A /cm^2 in current density. The electrolytic temperature is 15~25°C. A membrane to exchange cation is porous.</p> |
