<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a server-client system capable of carrying out display more easily, and a remote monitoring system and a remote monitoring method. <P>SOLUTION: In the remote monitoring system, a server 1 is provided with a facility information storing part 121 storing the facility information of facility equipment, and an image plane attribute storing part 122 storing image plane attribute information relevant to the display of the facility information. A client terminal 2 is provided with a display control part 242 acquiring the facility information and the image plane attribute information from the server 1 and displaying the facility information on the basis of the image plane attribute information in a display part 22, and an arithmetic part 243 acquiring the facility information from the server 1 and carrying out predetermined arithmetic operation.
