<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply structured differential device wherein dog clutches can surely engage and disengage with/from each other without requiring a large actuator. <P>SOLUTION: This differential device is provided with: an outer differential case 203 which is rotated by inputting the drive force of an engine; and an inner differential case 41 which incorporates a differential mechanism 2057 for differentially distributing the drive force of the engine and is coaxially rotatably supported in the outer differential case 203; a clutch member 43 which is arranged adjacently to the inner differential case 41 in its axial direction, is movable axially and rotates integrally with the outer differential case 203; dog clutches 41a and 43a, which are arranged between the inner differential case 41 and the clutch member 43 opposing to each other and mesh with each other so as to be engaged and disengaged by the axial movement of the clutch member 43; and an electromagnetic drive means 61 which has an annular plunger 65 for moving the clutch member 43 in an axial direction so that the dog clutches 41a and 43a are engaged with and disengaged from each other and is arranged coaxially with an output shaft. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
