<p>The present invention provides an interface device for use within a PCMCIA module allowing an interface to be made between an electronic chip on a chip card and a host device. The invention dispenses with the use of industry-standard smartcard connectors to make connection between the chip on the chip card and a printed circuit board providing the interface functionality within the PCMCIA module and makes use of a set of conductive tracks placed either within the housing of the PCMCIA module or within a specially adapted spacer or frame.</p> |
