The method involves heating a semi-finished product component (25) in a heating station (39), where transfer of the component is performed by a transport device along transfer rails to a deforming station (41). The component is partially deformed in the deforming station, and/or additional components are added, where transfer of a manufactured component takes place by the transport device along the rails to a storage station. The product component is transferred to a conveyor device for conveying the manufactured component and/or a control station in the storage station. An independent claim is also included for a device for manufacturing components made of fiber-reinforced thermoplastic semi-finished products in a manufacturing plant.
