The device has a sleeve (2) through which a cable or an elongate mold part extends. The sleeve has an end region comprising a fastening projection (3) mountable through a boring of a wall of a housing or a component. The sleeve has a middle region (4) compressed against a cladding of the cable or mold part. Another end region (5) of the sleeve turned away from the projection accommodates an annular sealing body (6) in an assembly position. The sealing body is supported at the cladding of the cable or mold part, and has a ring region lying at the cladding.
