PURPOSE: A method for configuring cell information of a relay node in a wireless communication system and a device thereof are provided to easily configure a relay node by a mobile communication operator. CONSTITUTION: A relay node communicates with an O&M(Operation and Management) server through a DeNB(Doner evolved-Node Base station). The relay node transmits a ECGI(E-UTRAN Cell Global ID) configuration request message to the O&A server through the DeNB(306). The O&M server transmits a ECGI configuration response message to the relay node(308).
