PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Pyrus Communis flower extract with anti-irritation and anti-inflammation is provided to protect cell due to stimuli source. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for relieving skin irritation contains 0.5-90 wt% of Pyrus Communis flower extract as an active ingredient and 10-99. 5 wt% of cosmetic excipient. The extract is a polar solvent or non-polar solvent. The polar solvent is water, low alcohol of C1-C4, or mixture thereof. The non-polar solvent is hexane, glycerin, butyelene glycol, chloroform, ethyl acetate, or mixture thereof.
