<p>A transmitting unit sends a transmission request signal in predetermined ranges in the passenger's compartment of a vehicle and around the vehicle even if a position detector has detected that a portable unit is not present in the predetermined ranges. A memory stores information which indicate that a door lock unit has unlocked the doors of the vehicle.</p>
