PURPOSE: An image processing device and a method for processing image data of the same are provided to efficiently process data. CONSTITUTION: A data format generating unit(430) regenerates data including image data and edge data. An edge data verifying unit(440) configures second window data which is made by the data regenerated by the data format generating unit. The edge data verifying unit compares edge data of a central pixel of the second window data with edge data of an adjacent pixel arranged around the central pixel. The edge data verifying unit maintains or changes the edge data of the central pixel of the second window data. An interpolation unit(450) interpolates the maintained or changed data.
