<p>The component (31) has an actuator sensor interface (AS-i) cable (11) carrying out transmitting and/or receiving a standard AS-i communication signal and an enlarged AS-i communication signal. A transmitting and/or receiving used frequency spectrum of the extended AS-i communication signal is in the range from 1 to 10 MHz. A transmitting and/or receiving used frequency spectrum of the standard AS-i communication signal is in the range from 50 to 500 kHz. Analog or digital converter units (13, 23) receive the signals, and comprise a high pass filter and a low pass filter, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a method for transmitting and/or receiving communication signals via an AS-i cable.</p> |
