<p>PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to prevent the reduction of the operation pressure of a safety vent, or the generation of a crack in safety vent in groove due to a fatigue fracture by the swelling phenomenon of the safety vent. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery comprises a safety vent(170) having a concave shape of which center region is projected to a space, and the region of a safety vent having a region projected to a space formed in the center of the edge of the safety vent. The safety vent comprises a tilted region sloped in the center region. A first groove is formed in the sloped region. A housing comprises a case, and a cap plate, and the safety vent formed in the cap plate sealing the end of the case.</p> |
