IP network service redirector device and method

A method for redirecting specific network traffic intended for a target device (13) on a first data network (11) is described. The method inserts a redirector (14) into a first network in front of a target device (13) and intercepting a transmission from the target device. The method then configures the network characteristics of the redirector (14) to use the network addresses of the target device (13). Once configured the redirector inspects the network traffic on the first network (11) to identify specific services, and sends the network traffic associated with the specific service to a destination device on a second network (12).
