Detecting the interruption in the drive power flow of a railway vehicle

The method involves detecting a value of a parameter, which is representative for speed of a component of a drive train (105) of a vehicle i.e. rail vehicle (101). Another value of another parameter is detected, where the latter parameter is representative for driving speed of the vehicle. Verification is made to check whether a predetermined relation exists between the two values. Unintentional interruption of power flow in the drive train of the vehicle is determined, depending on a result of verification. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for controlling a drive train of a vehicle (2) a control device for a drive train of a vehicle i.e. rail vehicle, comprising a control unit.
