PURPOSE: An air conditioner for a vehicle is provided to discharge condensate generating in a heater core to the outside when an engine stops by forming an auxiliary drain part in the lower part of an air conditioning case of lower side of the heater core. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner for a vehicle comprises an air conditioning case(110), an evaporator(101), a heater core(102), a flow control valve(120), a main drain part(170), and an auxiliary drain part(180). The evaporator and heater core are successively installed inside the air conditioning case in an air flow direction. The flow control valve is installed in an inlet pipe(104b) and an outlet pipe(104a) connecting to the heater core and controls flow of cooling water supplying to the heater core. The main drain part is formed in the lower part of the air conditioning case between the evaporator and the heater core and discharges the cooling water generating in the evaporator to the outside. The auxiliary drain part discharges the cooling water in cold storage and cold discharge modes.
