METHOD FOR PROCESSING OF TRANSFERRING DATA FROM CACHE MEMORY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to efficiently restart data transfer between a storage device and a cache memory without spoiling transferred data even when the data transfer is interrupted by an emergent access request. SOLUTION: When an emergent access request is generated from another bus master 32 during the transfer of data from a storage device 30 to a cache memory 10 due to a cache miss caused by a reading request from a certain bus master 32, the data transfer is interrupted. When the emergent access request is a write request, data to be accessed for the emergent access request are written in a corresponding position of a data memory if the data to be accessed belong to an address space of a cache block corresponding to the interrupted data transfer. Simultaneously, the data are written in the storage device 30. Then the interrupted data transfer is restarted.
