PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fixing device for suppressing the uneven density of a fixed toner image and the uneven glossiness of the image by preventing oil from being nonuniformly applied. SOLUTION: An oil applying roller 10 is constituted so that a porous PTFE layer 12 whose pores are filled with gel silicone is formed on the surface of a thick porous structure material 11 with mold releasing oil impregnated, and the oil is applied by into contact with slave-rotating the roller 10 while abutting the roller 10 on a fixing belt 20. A brush cleaner 30 is arranged so that the tips of the bristles may rub the surface of the oil applying roller, and the brush cleaner is provided with plural bristle trains 33a, 33b... in the rotating direction of the oil applying roller. The diameter of the tip of the bristle is made larger than the diameter of the pore of the porous PTFE layer. Amino deformation silicone oil is used as the mold releasing oil.
