PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an observer to adjust an eye level as the observer likes by adjusting the relative interval between an objective lens and an afocal power varying lens. SOLUTION: An ocular lens barrel 20 holds an ocular lens 6a. A power varying lens barrel 21 holds an afocal power varying lens 3a and is equipped with a power varying operation knob 11. An objective lens barrel 22 holds the objective lens 2 and is rotated to move toward the power varying lens barrel 21 along the optical axis. A microscope body hold part 15 holds microscope bodies 20 to 22 by holding the power varying lens barrel 21 and a focusing operation 12 is rotated to move in the vertical direction from a fixed part 14 along the optical axis of the objective lens 2. To adjust the eye point 7a, the microscope bodies 20 to 22 are displaced by a desired adjustment quantity Z that the observer desires by rotating the focusing operation part 12. Then only the objective lens barrel 22 is moved.
