PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling door device such that smooth opening and closing of a rolling door can be achieved while door parts separated from one another at folding portions are surely brought into bending movement at the folding portions without depending on the strength of the rolling door, and a connector therefor. SOLUTION: In this rolling door device, a rolling door 1 is formed by freely foldably interconnecting door parts 6 separated from one another at folding portions 5 and each having a required width, and is displaced along guide grooves or guide rails 3, 4 formed on the opposite sides of an opening which is closed by the rolling door 1. The rolling door 1 has connecting pieces 7 at both ends of each door part 6. The connecting pieces 7 are foldably pivoted together at the folding portions and at least some of the connecting pieces 7 are provided with first guide members 2a with rollers suspending the rolling door 1 and rotating vertically on contact with the guide grooves or the rail face of the guide rail 3. At least some of the other connecting pieces 7 are provided with second guide members 2b with guide wheels that rotate transversely in engagement along the guide grooves or guide rail 4.
