PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide liquid detergents which exhibit excellent detergency against sebum derived from human bodies and colored fats and oils derived from foods and, simultaneously, have good rinsing properties and a pleasant odor of products. SOLUTION: Liquid detergent compositions comprise (A) a nonionic surface active agent and (B) another nonionic surface active agent, and (A) has a 10-16C hydrophobic group and an average value nAV of the addition molar number n of ethylene oxide of 2-6; and, at the same time, not less than 55 mass% total mass Yi of a mixture of the nonionic surface active agents (A) present in the range of nAV-2 to nAV+2 based on the total mass of the mixture of the nonionic surface active agents (A), and the nonionic surface active agent (B) has a 10-16C hydrophobic group and an average addition molar number mAV of ethylene oxide of 10-25.
