PURPOSE: A virtual multi-channel recording system is provided to record an audio signal with a direction information on a store media for the audio signal in order to reproduce the audio signal safely and lively. CONSTITUTION: A multi-channel audio source(100) generates a two-channel of multi-channel audio data to which at least 3 channels are compressed. An audio decoder(200) decodes the compressed two-channel of multi-channel audio data and outputs the multi-channel audio data having at least 3 channels. A positioning audio processor(300) adds a direction information to the multi-channel audio data having at least 3 channels and down-mixes it to the 2-channel audio data. A process and store part(400) processes and stores the down-mixed two-channel audio data. The positioning audio processor(300) is a 3D positioning audio processor using HRTF(Head Related Transfer Function).
