PURPOSE: A theanine derivative and an external use skin composition containing the same are provided to ensure selective antibacterial effect against propionibacterium acne. CONSTITUTION: A theanine derivative is denoted by chemical formula 1 or 2. In chemical formulas 1 and 2, R1 and R2 are hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, propyl, isopropyl, n-butyl, isobutyl, or t-butyl. An external use skin composition for anti-acne contains 0.001-20.0 wt% of the theanine derivative as an active ingredient. A method for preparing the theanine derivative of chemical formula 1 or 2 comprises: a step of heating compound A and maltose in a reaction solvent and stirring; and a step of depositing a product after reaction. The reaction solvent is water, methanol, n-propanol, isopropanol, n-butanol, isobutanol, t-butanol, 1,2-propandiol, 1,3-propandiol, 1,3-butandiol, or glycerol. |
