PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile type electronic mail device which can confirm the image data when an electronic mail is transmitted. SOLUTION: This device includes a CPU (control means) 1, a ROM 2, a RAM 3, an HDD 4, a format conversion part (format conversion means) 5, a scanner part (image reading means) 6, a panel part (input/display means) 7, a compression/expansion part (compression part and expansion part) 8, a LAN control part (transmission means and reception means) 9, a format inverse conversion part (format inverse conversion means) 10 and a printer part (print means) 11. The CPU 1 has a function to control both parts 5 and 11 and to automatically print the image data on a form before the image data which are read at the part 6 are converted into the format of an electronic mail.
