PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for providing an IPTV(Internet Protocol TV) content to a portable device is provided to reproduce the IPTV content using a CAS(Conditional Access System) of an IPTV system. CONSTITUTION: An authentication processing unit(3010) determines the identity of a first authentication key which is decoded by a security software with a second authentication key which is received from an IPTV service provider. The authentication processing unit processes the authentication of a portable device. A CAS part discrambles a specific content which is requested by the authenticated portable device. A network interface part(3020) performs networking with the portable device and the IPTV service provider. The network interface part transmits the descrambled content to the portable device. |
