PURPOSE: A portable terminal reset method and a device thereof are provided to perform a manual reset function by a specific signal input in a terminal without the manual reset function. CONSTITUTION: A reset unit(170) generates a manual reset input signal according to a specific signal input. The reset unit blocks a battery power to PMIC(Power Manament IC)(130) by a signal generated during an operation maintenance period of a portable terminal and the manual reset input signal. A power unit(120) supplies the battery power.
