PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human body measuring instrument and a method for manufacturing an article to be put on a human body, capable of accurately measuring a human body by a simple device and capable of manufacturing an article to be put on a human body so as to comply with the requirement of an orderer while reducing a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This human body measuring instrument is equipped with a camera 14 for measurement, a mounting device 16 capable of moving the camera 14 by a prescribed amount, and a drive for moving the camera 14 on the mounting device 16. The instrument has a computer 24 being a position computing device for detecting the three-dimensional positions of images photographed by the camera 14 as the number of images from a fixed reference position of the images photographed by the camera 14 and computing the three- dimensional positions from the number of images. The computer 24 computes the shape of the human body by using the obtained positional information.
