PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for measuring the horizontality of a coil spring mounting part of a vehicle are provided to measure the angle of a coil spring mounted on a vehicle suspension with a non-contact method. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for measuring the horizontality of a coil spring mounting part of a vehicle comprises a transfer conveyer(10), a transfer conveyor pause confirmation sensor(11), a horizontality measuring unit(12), and a failed product reject cylinder(13). The transfer conveyor loads a plurality of product transfer V-blocks(100) in which coil springs(2) are placed and transfers the coil springs. The transfer conveyor pause confirmation sensor is installed on one side of the transfer conveyor. The horizontality measuring unit is installed on both sides of the transfer conveyor and measures the horizontality of the coil spring mounting part. The failed product reject cylinder is installed on one side of the transfer conveyor.
