<p>PURPOSE: A heat pump cooling and heating apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to reduce power consumption and costs because a cycle deciding operation of a compressor is actively changed corresponding to fluctuation of power rates. CONSTITUTION: A control method of a heat pump cooling and heating apparatus is as follows. The apparatus recognizes current power rates(S1). In an indoor unit, water temperature is controlled by refrigerant exchanged heat with air in an outdoor unit. The water controlled temperature circulates in an indoor pipe using a pump. A compressor of the outdoor unit stops when predetermined condition is achieved(S3). If predetermined delay time passes after the compressor is stopped, the pump stops(S5). A cycle deciding operation of the compressor is changed corresponding to the recognized power rates.</p> |
