PURPOSE: A reinforcing bar binding wire and a construction method thereof are provided to reduce the construction time of a reinforced concrete structure by enabling a worker to easily confirm the coupling state of binding wires. CONSTITUTION: A reinforcing bar binding wire(1) comprises a wire and a display unit. The wire binds reinforcing bars arranged by crossing each other for the construction of a reinforced concrete structure. The display unit is formed on the surface of the wire and has a color different from the reinforcing bars.
