<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified flavin adenine dinucleotide-dependent glucose dehydrogenase (FADGDH) which overcomes weak points of well-known FADGDHs and has excellent substrate specificity. <P>SOLUTION: There is disclosed a modified FADGDH having reduced activity on xylose by modifying FADGDH at a genetic level, and an example is a protein in which an amino acid at the position 336 is substituted with other amino acid in a specific amino acid sequence or a protein which has an amino acid sequence having at least 60% or more homology with any one in a specific amino acid sequence and further in which an amino acid at an equivalent position is substituted with another amino acid in an amino acid sequence encoding a protein having glucose dehydrogenase activity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
