<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively compensate variation in threshold voltage of a drive transistor. <P>SOLUTION: An organic EL pixel circuit is provided with: a drive transistor T4 for flowing a drive current in response to a gate voltage Vg from a power source PVdd to an organic EL element EL; a drive control transistor T5 which is inserted and arranged between the drive transistor T4 and the organic EL element; and a short-circuiting transistor T3 for controlling whether or not the drive transistor T4 is diode-connected. Further, the organic EL pixel circuit is provided with: a selection transistor T1 for controlling whether or not a data signal from a data line DL is supplied to the control end of the drive transistor T4; a capacitor Cs which is inserted and arranged between the selection transistor T1 and the control end of the drive transistor T4; and a potential control transistor T2 for turning on/off the connection between the selection transistor T1 side of the capacitor Cs and the power source PVdd. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
