<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device enabling intensive printing which is capable of reducing a wasteful margin area and reducing a reduction ratio of each page. <P>SOLUTION: An image formation device 1 comprises a number-of-sheets setting unit 503, a number-of-pages determination unit 505, a paper direction selection unit 507, and an image formation unit 103. The number-of-sheets setting unit 503 is for setting the number of sheets of paper to use for intensive printing of a plurality of pages, by user's operation. The number-of-pages determination unit 505 determines the number of intensive pages on one surface of one sheet of paper when performing intensive printing of a plurality of pages by the number of sheets of paper set by the number-of-sheets setting unit 503. The paper direction selection unit 507 selects the direction of the paper capable of reducing the reduction ratio of the pages when performing the intensive printing of a plurality of pages by the number of pages determined by the number-of-pages determination unit 505.
