<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable power optical system which suppresses aberration variation and has high optical performance, and to provide an optical device having the same and a method for manufacturing the variable power optical system. <P>SOLUTION: A variable power optical system includes, in order from an object side along an optical axis, a first lens group G1 having positive refractive power, a second lens group G2 having negative refractive power and a third lens group G3 having positive refractive power. When power varies from a wide angle end state W to a telephoto end state T, the space between the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 is increased, and the space between the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 is decreased. The first lens group G1 has a plurality of positive lenses L12 and L13 satisfying prescribed conditional expressions, and the variable power optical system satisfies the prescribed conditional expressions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
