<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a desired operation state by alleviating inconsistency between a profile of a high-speed mode cam and a lift profile of a valve by increasing the stiffness of connection between a low-speed mode rocker arm and a high-speed mode rocker arm. <P>SOLUTION: Because a through-hole 47 is formed in a sector form f1, a direction of a force applied from a contact point is directed a connection pin 50 side. Therefore, a distance from the connection pin 50 to the contact point in a direction orthogonal to an axis can be made shorter than a conventional one, and an amount of the deflection of the high-speed mode rocker arm 45 which occurs at the tip side of the high-speed mode rocker arm 45 from the connection pin 50 can be reduced. As a result, connection stiffness in an engaging section 60 can be improved, so that it is possible to alleviate inconsistency between the profile of the high-speed mode cam 30 and the lift profile of an absorbing valve 13, thereby obtaining the desired operation state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
