<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent a male shaft from slipping out of a female shaft of a telescopic shaft. <P>SOLUTION: The female shaft 6 includes a spiral groove 6c in the inner peripheral surface, at an end of which the spiral groove has an inlet, and a circumferential groove 6b continuous to the spiral groove 6c. A spiral C-shaped retaining ring 30 of almost one turn is twistingly charged from the spiral groove 6c and is installed in the circumferential groove 6b so that the retaining ring 30 is compressed and is fixed inside the circumferential groove 6b while thrusting out. The inner diameter of the retaining ring 30 is smaller than the outer diameter of a male spline slide part 20 of the male shaft 5 and therefore the male shaft 5 can be prevented from slipping out from the female shaft 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
