PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing which can lessen a number of part items and can reduce manufacturing cost and provide an assembly of the same and a stepped shaft. SOLUTION: In an inner ring 3 of the rolling bearing 1, a projection 3a protruding axially is formed and an axial width of the inner ring 3 is set to be wider than that of an outer ring 4. A corner of the projection 3 is configured to have a radius of curvature larger than those of the axial end portions 3b, 4a, 4b of the inner ring 3 and the outer ring 4. Further, the radius of curvature of the corner of the projection 3a is set larger than that of a radius part 11 at the shoulder 2a provided on the stepped shaft 2a.
