<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device that completely prevents a ball from running on a shoulder. <P>SOLUTION: Two track grooves 3 are provided on the inner periphery of an outer member 1, and a shoulder 4 is formed between the two track grooves 3. Two track grooves 16, 18 are set on the outer periphery of an inner member 11, facing each of the two track grooves 3 of the outer member 1. Shoulders 17, 19 are each formed outside the two track grooves 16, 18. Balls 21 are inserted between the track grooves 3, 16, 18 facing each other. The ratio H<SB POS="POST">1</SB>/d of the height H<SB POS="POST">1</SB>of the shoulders 4, 17, 19 to the diameter d of the ball 21, is set to be 0.25 or higher and lower than 0.50, to prevent the balls 21 from running on the shoulders 4, 17, 19, wherein H<SB POS="POST">1</SB>indicates the height of the shoulder 4 of the outer member 1 and the shoulders 17, 19 of the inner member 11, and d indicates the diameter of the balls 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
