<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic signal control system and the like capable of compatibly attaining the reduction of traffic congestion and reduction of traffic accidents by performing an appropriate signal control. <P>SOLUTION: A traffic signal control device 1 selects either one of control methods: a smooth control for executing a control method selection process based on sensor information of vehicle sensors 3 and time information, and controlling the traffic such that vehicles smoothly travel on a road section RSEC1; and a speed suppression control for controlling the traffic such that the vehicles are suppressed to travel the road section RSEC1 at a high speed. When selecting the smooth control, the traffic signal control device sets a smooth control signal control parameter SPM1 for performing a so-called system control in the road section RSEC1, however, when selecting the speed suppression control, sets a speed suppression control signal control parameter SPM2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
