<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the shortening of processing speed and elimination of useless power consumption of the entire device in the addition of a straight ejection function for conveying paper sheet along a different route to the function of taking in a paper sheet by using a puddle roller, and to achieve reduction in the cost and size of the entire device by reducing the number of components. <P>SOLUTION: The mechanism includes: a rotary shaft 5 disposed below an ejection roller mechanism 3 used to eject the paper sheets P conveyed in order, and rotated by a puddle rotation drive part 4; and the puddle rollers 6 mounted on the rotation shaft 5. The puddle roller 6 includes: a rotor part 6r the center of which the rotary shaft 5 penetrates; and a plurality of flexible fin parts 6f radially projecting from the periphery 6rs of the rotor part 6r.
