摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine, which prohibits an operator or the like from recognizing the operation sound of a motor-driven low-pressure pump and can continue the operation of the low-pressure pump even when no fuel fills an accumulator fuel injection device to shorten a cranking time till the internal combustion engine starts. <P>SOLUTION: In the control device for the internal combustion engine, an accumulator fuel injection device is used which compresses, with a high-pressure pump, the fuel supplied with a motor-driven low-pressure pump to be supplied to a common rail under pressure, and which injects the compressed fuel into the cylinder of the internal combustion engine from a plurality of fuel injection valves connected to the common rail. The control device includes a low-pressure pump controlling means which controls the motor-driven low-pressure pump to start operation of this pump when cranking starts, or to stop operation of this pump when the internal combustion engine does not start at a cranking stop time and the cranking time is less than a predetermined threshold value, or to continue operation when the cranking time the threshold value or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
