<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television broadcast receiver capable of improving responsiveness by causing peripheral devices to perform a part of a plurality of processes when the processes are requested. <P>SOLUTION: A system is composed of a television broadcast receiver and peripheral devices connected to the television broadcast receiver, the television broadcast receiver controlling the peripheral devices connected to the television broadcast receiver. The television broadcast receiver comprises a decentralized processing control unit which calculates the load of the television broadcast receiver before and after the operation request from a user to the television broadcast receiver and which controls decentralized processing with the peripheral devices from the television broadcast receiver.
