<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer capacitor capable of increasing ESR while decreasing ESL. <P>SOLUTION: A multilayer capacitor 1 comprises: a capacitor element 3 having a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape; internal electrode layers 21 to 28 arranged on dielectric layers 31 to 38; and terminal electrodes 11 to 18 arranged on side surfaces 3c and 3d of the capacitor element 3 so that their polarity is different from each other. The internal electrode layers 21 to 28 have a main electrode 21a and etc., and an extraction electrode 21b and etc., and are connected to any of the terminal electrodes 11 to 18 so as to make a pair with.
