<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device capable of reducing consumption power while securing responsiveness. <P>SOLUTION: A storage device comprises a plurality of RAID groups which are connected to an external host device and configured by a plurality of storage devices and a storage controller for controlling access from the host device to the plurality of RAID groups. One of the storage devices for configuring a RAID group of a write access target from the host device is a storage device for storing parity. The storage controller comprises a first logical volume provided inside a RAID group which is to be the write access target from the host device and a second logical volume provided inside a RAID group which is not to be the write access target from the host device. The storage device for storing parity is set to a power saving state and the change information of the parity to be stored in the storage device for storing parity is stored in the second logical volume. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
