TRANSMISSION APPARATUS, RECEPTION APPARATUS AND PROGRAM FOR THE SAME IN BROADCAST SERVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out processing of a program schedule table required for making a receiving side carry out stored reservation of a contents file when transmitting the contents file via a broadcast wave of digital broadcasting.

SOLUTION: The transmission apparatus comprises: program schedule table generation means which generates the program schedule table including an event identifier and content type information; program schedule table transmitting means which transmits said program schedule table in a prescribed interval; and contents file transmitting means which transmits the contents file having the event identifier by a Carousel system. Said content file transmitting means includes: means to describe the event identifier in header information; a branch number for identifying the contents; information indicating a version; and means to transmit the content of each of said items. The reception apparatus executes accumulation of the contents in a unit of a data block of the Carousel system in accordance with a combination of header information and content type information.
