<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel apparatus for manufacturing a glass plate, which has a structure suitable for preventing buckling of conduits. <P>SOLUTION: A transport pipe 10 through which a molten glass to be transported from a melting tank to a forming apparatus is composed of a platinum group metal, and is equipped with a conduit 1 constituting a flow path 5 of the molten glass, a refractory support 7 to support the conduit 1, and a refractory fiber layer 2 so arranged as to be contacted with the outer peripheral surface of the conduit 1 and the refractory support 7 between the conduit 1 and the refractory support 7. The refractory fiber layer 2 accepts the expansion of the conduit 1 to the refractory support 7 by the slide of the interface of the layer 2 and the deformation of the layer 2 and the contraction of the layer 2. Consequently, the stress impressed on the conduit 1 is relaxed and the buckling of the conduit 1 is prevented. The refractory support 7 may be equipped with a refractory protective layer 3 having an air tightness to block the oxygen permeation in the thickness direction. The refractory protective layer 3 suppresses the oxidation of the platinum group metal constituting the conduit 1 and the volatilization accompanying the oxidation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
